Zeekr, the distinguished electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary under Geely Holding Group, has responded dynamically to surging consumer interest following a substantial price reduction for the Zeekr 001 model. In an exciting development, Zeekr has taken the strategic decision to extend the operational hours of select stores, with some locations now open until midnight.

The expansion of store hours is centered around 11 full-service Zeekr stores strategically situated across 10 major cities, including Shanghai, Chengdu, Hangzhou, and Guangzhou. Zeekr’s announcement, relayed through its social media channels, confirms that these stores have extended their operational hours until 11 pm.

While precise details about the initial closing times were not disclosed by Zeekr, information from mapping sources, as revealed by CnEVPost, suggests that several stores were originally closing at 7 pm.

This bold move by Zeekr comes in the wake of an August 11 announcement introducing an enticing discount for customers purchasing the Zeekr 001 within the year. This discount, ranging from RMB 30,000 ($4,120) to RMB 37,000, effectively brings down the starting price of the Zeekr 001 to RMB 269,000.

This strategic maneuver to extend store hours has yielded remarkable results. Zeekr stores have witnessed a significant influx of enthusiastic customers who are eager to experience test drives and explore the range of offerings firsthand.

In a bid to cater to this heightened demand for test drives, purchases, and after-sales services, Zeekr has empowered its 11 experience centers with extended opening hours. These centers now provide comprehensive sales, delivery, and after-sales support.

The Zeekr 001, which marked Zeekr’s debut model, was introduced to the market on April 17, 2021, with deliveries commencing in October of the same year. Notably, in 2022 alone, a remarkable 71,941 units of the Zeekr 001 were delivered. Zeekr’s ambitious target for the year is to achieve around 140,000 deliveries across its diverse model lineup.

Beyond the Zeekr 001, Zeekr proudly offers two other captivating models: the Zeekr 009 MPV and the Zeekr X urban SUV. The Zeekr 009 entered the market on November 1, 2022, with deliveries starting on January 17. Similarly, the Zeekr X was launched on April 12, and its first deliveries took place on June 12.

In yet another testament to Zeekr’s momentum, the company reached a record-breaking milestone in July by delivering an impressive 12,039 vehicles. This achievement marks the second instance this year in which Zeekr has surpassed the 10,000-vehicle threshold, propelling the total yearly deliveries to 54,672 vehicles.

Amidst these successes, Zeekr announced a pivotal addition to its leadership team. Jiang Jun, a distinguished figure with a background as an R&D executive at Huawei and a core team leader in the autonomous driving product line, has assumed the role of Vice President responsible for the smart cockpit business.
