Zeekr 001 Reaches 200,000 Deliveries, Celebrates with Longest-Mileage Owner
Zeekr has achieved a milestone with the 200,000th delivery of its flagship model, the Zeekr 001.
This significant event was marked by a special ceremony at Zeekr‘s plant in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, where the electric vehicle (EV) maker also gifted the milestone car to an older Zeekr 001 owner who has driven 320,000 kilometers, the highest mileage among Zeekr owners.
The Zeekr 001, a shooting brake model, was launched on April 15, 2021, and deliveries began in October 2021. The model reached its 200,000th delivery in just 972 days, having previously hit the 10,000-delivery mark within 110 days.
During the ceremony, Zeekr showcased a teardown of the long-mileage Zeekr 001, demonstrating its durability. The vehicle showed no hidden cracks in the chassis, no visible rust, and fully functional air conditioning. The battery maintained 91 percent health, allowing acceleration from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 6.98 seconds, well above industry standards.
Despite shooting brake models being a niche market in China, the Zeekr 001 has been a standout success, with 76,246 units delivered in 2023 alone, contributing 64 percent of Zeekr’s total deliveries that year. By the end of May 2024, cumulative deliveries of the Zeekr 001 reached 194,379 units, making up 73.5 percent of all Zeekr deliveries.
On February 27, 2024, Zeekr launched an updated version of the Zeekr 001, featuring an 800 V electrical system for improved energy consumption and charging performance. The updated model is available in four variants, with starting prices ranging from RMB 269,000 ($37,050) to RMB 329,000.
Zeekr’s current lineup also includes the Zeekr 007 sedan, the Zeekr 009 MPV, and the Zeekr X compact SUV. In May 2024, Zeekr set a new delivery record with 18,616 vehicles, surpassing the previous record of 16,089 vehicles in April. From January to May 2024, Zeekr delivered 67,764 vehicles, marking a 111.68 percent year-on-year increase. The company aims to deliver 230,000 vehicles by the end of the year.
