Xpeng’s P7i and G9 Electric Vehicle Launch in Europe: Deliveries and Expansion Updates”
Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) launched its innovative electric vehicles, the P7i sedan and G9 SUV, in the European market this February. Orders were made available in Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, and Sweden during the same period.
The Leading Chinese electric automaker, Xpeng, has officially commenced deliveries of its flagship model, the P7i sedan, in Europe. The P7i was initially unveiled in Europe in February and has now started reaching customers in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, and the Netherlands, as confirmed by the company’s recent announcement on Weibo.
Xpeng’s commitment to enhancing global mobility experiences through intelligent driving is exemplified in its introduction of cutting-edge vehicles. The company aims to provide customers worldwide with advanced, efficient, and intelligent mobility solutions.
Although specifics regarding the P7i’s initial European deliveries remain undisclosed, Xpeng has shared a video showcasing its European delivery points, hinting at the exciting expansion.
Earlier this year, on February 3, Xpeng introduced its latest electric vehicles, the G9 flagship SUV and the new P7 sports sedan, to the European market. These models became available for order in Denmark, Norway, the Netherlands, and Sweden.
Interestingly, the European launch of the P7 occurred before its introduction in China. The upgraded version of the P7, named the P7i, was introduced on March 10.
Initially, Xpeng’s plan was to initiate deliveries of the new P7 in Europe by June, followed by G9 deliveries in September. However, the recent update suggests a slight deviation from the original timeline.
The P7i and G9 deliveries will benefit from Xpeng’s newly established delivery and service centers strategically located in key markets, including Lørenskog in Norway, Badhoevedorp in the Netherlands, Stäket in Sweden, and Hillerød in Denmark, as announced in February.
Xpeng’s commitment extends to establishing authorized service points through dedicated partners in pivotal European countries by the end of 2023.
The European launch of the P7i and G9 models signifies the revitalization of Xpeng’s international expansion strategies, a journey that gained momentum following the G6’s launch. Notably, Xpeng recently formed a strategic alliance with Freesbe (formerly Carasso Motors), a prominent Israeli auto dealer group, to bolster its Middle Eastern sales and service network.
In a recent interview with CGTN, He Xiaopeng, Xpeng’s CEO, revealed the company’s ambitious plans to expand its presence to numerous countries, mainly developed markets, in the coming year. This forward-looking approach aligns with Xpeng’s mission to redefine the future of mobility through innovation and collaboration.
