Xpeng Prepares for Mona M03 Pre-Orders and Official Launch
Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer Xpeng is gearing up to take pre-orders for its latest addition to the Mona lineup, the Xpeng M03. Starting on August 8 at 10:00 AM Beijing Time, customers will have the opportunity to reserve the much-anticipated all-electric sedan. Xpeng’s Chairman and CEO, He Xiaopeng, announced the news on Weibo, adding that the official launch is expected to occur later this month, with production vehicles rolling off the assembly line shortly thereafter.
Background and Pricing Details
Xpeng first unveiled the Mona M03 on July 3, confirming that the official launch would take place in August. The model is priced competitively, starting under RMB 200,000 ($27,850), and boasts some of the strongest intelligent driving capabilities in its segment. The Mona lineup originated from Xpeng’s acquisition of Didi Global’s EV business in August 2023, and while initially planned as a separate brand under the codename Mona, it has since been referred to as a new product lineup within the company.
Technical Specifications
The Mona M03 has been listed in China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) model catalog, revealing key specifications such as dimensions of 4,780 mm in length, 1,896 mm in width, and 1,445 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,815 mm. Both variants featured in the catalog are single-motor models equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries supplied by BYD’s FinDreams Battery division.
