Pekin, Xitoy – In a bid to dominate the competitive electric vehicle (EV) bozor, Zeekri, the premium EV subsidiary of Geely Holding Group, is gearing up to unveil an enhanced version of its flagship model, Zeekri 001, fevralda 27. The company hints at possible price reductions, intensifying the ongoing price war in the Chinese EV industry.

The launch event is scheduled to commence at 8 pm Beijing Time on February 27, with the updated Zeekr 001 already available for public viewing at Zeekr stores. E'tiborlisi, Zhou Guanyu, China’s first Formula 1 driver, has been appointed as the Chief Handling Officer for the upgraded Zeekri 001, adding a touch of celebrity endorsement to the launch.

Originally launched on April 17, 2021, Zeekr 001 quickly became the company’s best-selling model. Deliveries began in October 2021, and the updated version recently gained regulatory approval from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).

The redesigned Zeekr 001 boasts dimensions of 4,977mm in length, 1,999mm kengligida, and 1,545/1,533mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,005mm. This is a slight modification from the previous model, which measured 4,970mm in length, 1,999mm kengligida, 1,560mm balandlikda, with a wheelbase of 1,560mm.

The new Zeekr 001 offers battery options in both lithium ternary and lithium iron phosphate (LFP) from CATL and Zeekr’s subsidiary Jidian. Notable features include support for LiDAR and air suspension, which were not available in the older model.

This update comes at a time when the Xitoy EV industry witnesses a surge in price wars, with several manufacturers slashing prices on their models. Zeekr aims to stay competitive in this landscape with the launch of the upgraded Zeekr 001.

In a separate announcement, Zeekr celebrated a significant milestone as the 10,000th production vehicle of the Zeekr 007 sedan rolled off the assembly line.
