Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) is proudly revealing the impressive order statistics for its freshly upgraded flagship SUV, the 2024 G9, underscoring a triumphant debut.

In a recent announcement on Weibo, Xpeng disclosed that their 2024 G9 received an astounding 15,000 firm orders within the first 15 days of its market presence. An astonishing 80 percent of customers opted for the G9 Max version, which includes Xpeng’s advanced assisted driving feature, XNGP, as a standard offering.

Xpeng noted, “For every five Xpeng G9s sold, four come standard with City NGP capability.”

This announcement comes on the heels of China’s extended National Day holiday, with the news breaking on a Saturday, which marks the first working day after the holiday. Qo'shimcha, Sunday, October 8, has also been designated as a working day.

The initial launch of the Xpeng G9 took place on September 21, 2022, RMB boshlang'ich narxi bilan 309,900 ($42,440), which was already seen as highly competitive. Farqli o'laroq, the Max versions come standard with two Drive Orin chips, doubling the computing power to 508 Tops, and two LiDARs as standard.

The streamlined options and reduced pricing have contributed to the initial success of Xpeng’s revamped G9.

The 2024 G9 garnered over 8,000 firm orders within 72 hours of its launch, as announced by Xpeng on its social media platforms during the model’s fourth day on the market. Deliveries of the new G9 commenced on September 21, although specific delivery numbers have not been disclosed by the company to date.
