Spy photos of the upcoming new version of the Xpeng P5 have been published by local media, revealing some key changes to the electric vehicle (EV). The exterior design of the new P5 features a more minimalist air intake below the front end and a rounded design beneath the penetrating headlights. While the styling of the rear light clusters remains the same as the current model, some changes have been made to the rear cover, including the removal of glossy black trim panels and triangular-shaped reflectors.
Inside the vehicle, the new P5 adopts the latest dual-patchwork interior color scheme of the Xpeng family. The black piano lacquer on the secondary dashboard area has been replaced with a light-colored leather wrap featuring silver accents, enhancing the overall sense of luxury.
Despite these design and technology changes, the new P5 retains the same powertrain performance as the previous model. Hozirda, Xpeng offers only the P5 550E for 188,900 yuan (taxminan $26,000), with other versions not available for purchase. This suggests that the new P5 may be released soon, as inventories of other versions have possibly been cleared.
The Xpeng P5 has been the company’s second-best selling model in the past six months, selling over 10,000 birliklar, though it trails behind the P7, Xpeng’s top seller, by around 12,000 birliklar. The facelifted model aims to make the P5 more competitive in a price-conscious market by reducing costs while maintaining performance. Xpeng had previously released a refreshed version of the P7i as well.
