Li Auto to Introduce More Affordable Versions of Li L7 and Li L8 in May
Li Auto Announces New Models and Pricing Adjustments for L7 and L8 Series
Li Auto, listed on NASDAQ under the ticker symbol LI, is set to unveil cost-effective variants of its L7 and L8 models in May, featuring a significant reduction of RMB 18,000 in prices.
In a strategic move, the company has revamped the nomenclature of its L-series extended-range electric vehicles (EREV). The 2024 Li L7, Li L8, and Li L9, launched on March 1, will now include air suspension across all models, a departure from the 2023 versions which featured CDC suspensions.
Li Auto has rebranded the models equipped with air suspension, with the former Air, Pro, and Max now renamed as Pro, Max, and Ultra, respectively. Simultaneously, the company will introduce new 2024 Li L7 and Li L8 versions without air suspension, employing coil springs and CDC dampers in their suspension systems.
The upcoming Li L7 Air and Li L8 Air variants, set for May deliveries, retain the Air moniker like their 2023 counterparts. The 2024 Li L7 Air will have a starting price of RMB 301,800, marking an RMB 18,000 reduction compared to the previous entry-level version priced at RMB 319,800.
Similarly, the 2024 Li L8 Air will start at RMB 321,800, down RMB 18,000 from the RMB 339,800 of the previous entry-level version. Other configurations for both models remain priced unchanged.
Customers ordering a 2024 L-series model before March 31 will enjoy a special benefit – a RMB 5,000 deposit, applicable towards the RMB 10,000 purchase price. This additional offer complements Li Auto’s existing RMB 5,000 option fund benefit introduced at the launch of the 2024 models.
For those who have already taken delivery of a 2024 L-series model, Li Auto is extending a credit worth RMB 8,000, further enhancing the value proposition for its customers.
