지크르 001 and Zeekr X Set to Launch in Israel

From January to June this year, the sales volume of passenger vehicles in Israel’s overall market was 167,217. BEV sales were 28,834, meaning 17.2% of cars sold in the first half of the year were BEVs. In terms of brand market share, 지리 ranked second with sales of 4,492 차량. This means that in the first six months of this year, Geely’s share of the pure electric vehicle market was 15.6% (2.7% of the overall market).

Zhejiang Geely Holding Group now hopes to build on this success. The group is currently launching its Zeekr brand into the Israeli market. The group said that the launch of the Zeekr brand in Israel is one of the important steps in its global expansion. Zeekr has signed an agreement with Union Group, a leading car dealer in Israel, to establish a sales network in the market.

Zeekr-branded models will go on sale in the fourth quarter of this year. 지크르 will offer 지크르 001 및 Zeekr X. 지크르 001 is a shooting brake car, while the X is a sport utility vehicle. Both models will be available for preorder in October and deliveries will begin in November.

According to EVDatabase, the Zeekr X is equipped with a 64 kWh 배터리 (usable capacity) and has an actual range of about 360 킬로미터. The rear-wheel drive version is equipped with a 200-kilowatt motor, and the all-wheel-drive version has a total power of 315 킬 로 와트, and the actual cruising range is 350 킬로미터. With a usable 94 kWh 배터리, 지크르 001 has an actual range of 530 킬로미터. 그렇지만, very interestingly, China’s Zeekr 001 is also equipped with CATL’s up to 140 kWh Kirin battery with a rated range of 822 킬로미터 (511 miles).

Zeekr says it will offer a comprehensive ecosystem in Israel that enhances the overall customer experience through easy online purchases, seamless charging and over-the-air updates. As part of the agreement with Union Group, GEO Mobility, a unit of the Union Group, will be responsible for the sales of the Zeekr brand. GEO Mobility has previously sold Geely Automobile’s Geometry C in Israel. Geometry C is the best-selling pure electric car model in Israel in 2022.
