Great Wall Motors (GWM) Tank 700 Hi4-T Limited Edition Arrives at Chinese Delivery Centers
Great Wall Motors Delivers Tank 700 Hi4-T Limited Edition to Chinese Customers
On March 10th, the highly anticipated Tank 700 Hi4-T Limited Edition commenced its journey to delivery centers across China. Wei Jianjun, Chairman of Great Wall Motors, played a prominent role in the delivery event, personally handing over keys to delighted new owners.
Debuting at the Guangzhou Auto Show in 2023, the Tank 700 Hi4-T Limited Edition immediately captured attention. The initial release of 70 units, priced at 700,000 yuan (97,500 USD) during pre-sale, sold out in an astounding 55 seconds. Great Wall Motors later disclosed an annual production capacity of 700 vehicles for the limited edition. Its distinctive design features a commanding presence with a large radiator grille, wide fenders, sporty bumpers, and a rear roof spoiler, all riding on 275/50 R22 or 275/60 R22 wheels.
Noteworthy is the adherence to strict after-market modification regulations in Mainland China. The pre-installed street-legal body kit provided by Great Wall Motors for the Tank 700 Hi4-T Limited Edition has contributed significantly to its popularity.
As part of GWM’s off-road-centric SUV lineup, including the Tank 500, Tank 400, and Tank 300, the Tank 700 stands out as the largest model, measuring 5096/2060/1952 mm.
Both the limited and regular versions share a powerful 3.0T V6 twin-turbocharged engine generating 360 horsepower, combined with an electric motor and a 9HAT transmission. The combined power output reaches an impressive 517 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5 seconds, the Tank 700 boasts a top speed of 190 km/h and features a real-time four-wheel-drive system with a towing capacity of up to 2,500 kg.
Inside the Tank 700 Hi4-T’s luxurious cabin, soft-touch materials abound, complemented by dual large-size floating LCD screens, a heads-up display (HUD), and a suede leather roof. Additional features include dual 50W mobile phone wireless charging, electric massage seats for all passengers, and a premium 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
While the base model of the Tank 700 Hi4-T starts at 428,000 yuan (59,600 USD), the regular model maintains the limited edition’s styling with distinctions such as a trapezoidal front grille, angular headlights, and 22-inch multi-spoke rims.
