As the next step, Geely will conduct distillation training on its Xingrui car control FunctionCall AI model using DeepSeekR1. Distillation is a training method where a more advanced AI model transfers knowledge to a smaller model, improving its efficiency and performance.

Xingrui AI Model: A Breakthrough in Automotive Intelligence

Geely introduced its Xingrui AI model on January 11, positioning it as the world’s first full-stack, full-scenario self-developed AI big model in the automotive sector. Xingrui consists of three core models:

  • Language Model: Enhances natural language interaction.
  • Multimodal Model: Supports various input types for a seamless user experience.
  • Digital Twin Model: Creates a virtual representation of the vehicle for advanced simulations.

AI and Cloud Computing Drive NEV Competitiveness

The integration of AI and cloud computing has become a key trend in China’s new energy vehicle (NEV) market. Automakers are leveraging these technologies to enhance vehicle performance and offer a more personalized driving experience.

Geely has been at the forefront of this transformation, unveiling its “Smart Geely 2025” strategy. This initiative focuses on implementing cutting-edge AI technologies such as:

  • End-to-end voice interaction models for enhanced human-machine communication.
  • AI digital chassis to optimize vehicle dynamics.
  • Advanced intelligent driving for safer and more efficient mobility.

The Shift from EVs to Intelligent Electric Vehicles (EIVs)

The automotive industry is evolving beyond traditional electric vehicles (EVs) towards intelligent electric vehicles (EIVs). At the recent World Economic Forum in Davos, Pan Jian, co-chairman of CATL, emphasized that intelligence is inseparable from the rapid growth of China’s EV market.

According to Pan, the seamless integration of electricity and intelligence is key to this transformation. He highlighted that electric power enables advanced smart features that gasoline-powered vehicles simply cannot offer, further solidifying China’s leadership in the global intelligent EV sector.

Geely’s collaboration with DeepSeek underscores this shift, positioning AI as a cornerstone of next-generation smart vehicles.
