GAC Aion’s Hyper Brand Successfully Constructs 14 Swap Stations
Hyper, the distinguished electric vehicle (EV) brand under GAC Aion, has successfully erected 14 battery swap stations in the regions of Guangzhou and Foshan. This achievement comes just a month following the launch of its battery swap-capable model.
Recent reports indicate that Hyper has completed the construction of 14 cutting-edge battery swap stations across Guangzhou and Foshan. This marks the first official acknowledgment of the brand’s progress in this realm.
Hyper’s ambitions extend further, with plans to inaugurate 60 battery swap stations in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area within this year alone. Looking ahead, the company envisions a grand vision of establishing 2,000 supercharging stations and a remarkable 500 battery swap stations in 300 cities throughout China by the year 2025.
Notably, GAC Aion, an EV subsidiary of GAC Group, introduced Hyper as its premium brand, unveiling the Hyper SSR supercar on September 15, 2022. The Hyper SSR is gearing up for mass production, anticipated to commence this October.
Hyper’s debut production model, the Hyper GT, was officially launched in China on July 3. Deliveries of this model began on July 20, and it presents an assortment of five variants with initial prices spanning from RMB 219,900 ($30,500) to RMB 339,900.
Particularly intriguing is the version starting at RMB 239,900, which facilitates battery swaps—a process Hyper claims can be executed in a mere two minutes. A distinctive offering akin to Nio’s battery-rental approach accompanies the Hyper GT. Opting for this model significantly reduces the vehicle’s price by RMB 70,000, with buyers committing to a monthly battery fee of RMB 980.
