The renowned US electric vehicle manufacturer has executed a price reduction of RMB 14,000 ($1,930) for the Model Y Long Range and Model Y Performance variants. This move translates to a reduction of around 4 percent in their starting prices. Par conséquent, the starting price of the Model Y Long Range now stands at RMB 299,900, down from RMB 313,900. For the subsidy to apply, customers must procure car insurance from an insurer in partnership with Tesla. This offer is valid for purchases made between August 14 et septembre 30.

It’s noteworthy that these models are locally produced at Tesla’s Shanghai facility. The anticipated delivery timelines in China remain unaffected, spanning 1-4 weeks for each Model 3 version and 2-6 weeks for all three Model Y versions.

In addition to the Model 3 et Model Y, Tesla also offers the Model S and Model X in China, albeit as imports.

While Model S and Model X pricing remains steady, discounts have been available for both models since July and continue to be accessible.

July witnessed Tesla delivering 64,285 China-made vehicles, encompassing exports and domestic deliveries. Although this marked the lowest figure of the year, it includes 31,423 vehicles delivered in China and 32,862 exported from the Shanghai factory, as reported by the China Passenger Car Association (L').

During January to May, the Model Y garnered 152,461 retail sales units, reflecting a robust year-on-year growth of 87.03 pour cent. This accomplishment secured the Model Y’s position as the top-selling SUV in China during that time frame.

An intriguing prospect lies ahead with the impending launch of Tesla’s revamped Model 3. As of July, news emerged that the revamped Model 3 had successfully entered the production line tuning phase, with prototypes undergoing road testing at Tesla’s Shanghai factory.
