Tesla Introduces China-Made Modèle Y to South Korean Market, Adjusts Pricing for Subsidies
Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) has commenced the sale of its China-made Model Y crossover in South Korea, accompanied by a price reduction to maximize available subsidies, as reported by Bloomberg.
The rear-wheel-drive Modèle Y, originally priced at 56.99 million won ($44,000), now drops to approximately $37,000 in Seoul after accounting for government subsidies. In certain cities offering additional incentives for electric vehicles (VÉHICULES ÉLECTRIQUES), the price can go as low as $30,000.
Auparavant, only the dual-motor performance and long-range versions of the Model Y were available in South Korea, with price tags of around $80,000 et $62,000, respectivement, l’année dernière.
