China’s Automobile Exports Surge 75.7% in H1 2023, New-Energy Vehicles Soar 160%

BEIJING, Juillet 16 – China’s automobile exports have experienced a remarkable 75.7 percent year-on-year surge in the first half of this year (H1), continuing the trend of robust expansion, as indicated by data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.
Throughout this period, the country exported a total of 2.14 million automobiles, with new-energy vehicle exports standing out at 534,000 Unités, experiencing an impressive 160 percent surge compared to the same period last year.
China’s passenger vehicle exports also saw substantial growth, increasing by 88.4 percent year-on-year to reach 1.78 million units in the same period, while exports of commercial vehicles rose by 31.9 pour cent, Atteindre 361,000 Unités, as reported by the association.
Rien qu’en juin, La Chine exporte 382,000 automobiles, marking a significant 53.2 percent increase from the same period in 2022.
The association’s data further revealed that China’s automobile exports surpassed 2 million units in 2021, and the numbers rose to a remarkable 3 million units in 2022.
