BYD (L’OTCMKTS: BYDDY) has introduced its flagship SUV, the Tang EV, in Ecuador, marking the fourth model unveiled by the company in the country. With the introduction of the Tang EV, BYD becomes the first brand to offer a complete lineup zero-emission vehicles in Ecuador. In addition to the Tang EV, BYD previously launched three all-electric models in May: the Han, Yuan Plus, et Dauphin. Santiago Mena, the brand manager for Andor Corporation, BYD’s distributor in Ecuador, highlighted that BYD now operates five stores in the country and is establishing a localized sales and service system in collaboration with Andor.

En mai, BYD held a brand launch event in Quito, Ecuador’s capital city, where it announced a strategic partnership with Andor. As part this partnership, BYD models will be showcased in three prominent shopping centers: Quicro Shopping, Paseo San Francisco, and Mall del Sol. Over the next six months, Andor plans to establish six points of sale in Quito, Guayaquil, and Manta, with further expansion to 12 points of sale by 2024.

BYD is actively expanding its presence in international markets, with a particular focus on the Americas. En juillet 11, the company launched BYD World, an interactive virtual dealership, in collaboration with AI and metaiverse company MeetKai. Initially launched in Ecuador, BYD World will soon be rolled out across all Latin American countries.

In terms of sales performance, BYD reported impressive figures for June.
