Buick présente la variante Electra E5 moins chère en Chine avec des caractéristiques réduites, Réduction du prix de $5,330
In response to the growing competitive landscape, Buick, a subsidiary of General Motors, has introduced a cost-effective version of its inaugural véhicule électrique (EV) modèle, the Electra E5, based on the Ultium platform, in the Marché chinois. This strategy, which involves reducing certain comfort features, is a common approach employed by local automakers facing intensified competition.
The newly unveiled version is named the Pioneer Edition of the Electra E5, boasting an attractive starting price of RMB 169,900 ($23,220). This represents a substantial reduction of RMB 39,000 ($5,330) compared to the previous entry-level model.
Auparavant, the Electra E5 offered five different versions with starting prices ranging from RMB 208,900 au RMB 278,900. The Pioneer Edition preserves the essential specifications of the lowest-priced version, featuring an electric motor with a peak power output of 180 Kw. It is equipped with a 68 kWh Li-ion ternary battery pack, offrant une gamme CLTC de 545 kilomètre.
To achieve this lower price point, certain amenities have been omitted from the Pioneer Edition, including automatic exterior mirror folding, a panoramic sunroof, electric seat adjustments, steering wheel heating, and seat heating. This strategic move is anticipated to broaden the model’s appeal to price-conscious customers who prioritize affordability over additional comfort features.
Buick officially launched the Electra E5 in China on April 13, positioning it as a competitively priced EV. Within just 12 days on the market, the Electra E5 garnered over 8,000 orders. Subséquemment, SAIC GM commenced the first vehicle deliveries of the Electra E5 on May 29. As per previously released figures by SAIC GM, the Electra E5 achieved monthly deliveries of 3,587, 3,722, et 3,961 units from June to August.
In addition to the Electra E5, Buick expanded its electric SUV lineup in China with the introduction of the Electra E4 on June 19, au prix de RMB 189,900. Deliveries of the Electra E4 in China began in July, avec 1,762 units delivered in the same month.
