Expanding Horizons: Nio Establishes 9 New Showrooms and 98 Swap Stations in July
As of July 31, Nio, the renowned electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer listed on the NYSE as NIO, showcased remarkable progress in its global expansion efforts. The company recorded 130 Nio Houses and 282 Nio Spaces worldwide, establishing a strong presence in key markets.
In July alone, Nio took significant strides in expanding its store and infrastructure network. The company added nearly 10 new showrooms and approximately 100 battery swap stations on an international scale, reaffirming its commitment to providing convenient and accessible services to EV enthusiasts.
Among the highlights, Nio unveiled two new Nio Houses, which serve as flagship showrooms, exclusively in China. This expansion brought the total number of Nio Houses to 130 worldwide, with a significant presence in China, comprising 124 outlets, and an emerging presence in Europe, with six showrooms.
Additionally, Nio introduced four new Nio Spaces, its more compact showrooms, all located in China. With this expansion, Nio Spaces reached a total of 282 worldwide, with 275 establishments in China and seven in Europe.
Acknowledging the importance of service centers, Nio also added four new facilities in China, increasing the total number to 310 globally. Out of these, 261 are situated in China, while 49 are strategically placed overseas, ensuring efficient support and maintenance for customers worldwide.
Furthermore, Nio expanded its delivery centers in China by three, bringing the total to 58 centers. This step highlights Nio’s commitment to ensuring seamless and timely delivery experiences for its growing customer base.
Nio’s dedication to enhancing the charging infrastructure remains evident. In July, the company added a total of 98 battery swap stations, with 95 in China and three abroad. As a result, Nio reached an impressive count of 1,659 battery swap stations globally, with 1,638 in China and 21 in international locations. Notably, Nio has placed 449 of these stations along highways, making long-distance travel even more convenient for EV users.
The charging station network also saw significant expansion, with 125 new stations added in July. Out of the 2,900 charging stations worldwide, 2,892 are in China, and eight are located overseas. Moreover, Nio’s charging map integrated an impressive 19,681 new third-party chargers, leading to a grand total of more than 1.26 million chargers globally. These chargers include more than 500,000 units deployed overseas, further solidifying Nio’s commitment to enabling hassle-free charging experiences for EV drivers.
As anticipation builds, Nio enthusiasts eagerly await the company’s announcement of its July vehicle delivery figures. Chinese social media platforms are abuzz with speculation that Nio is expected to surpass 20,000 unit deliveries for the month, showcasing the brand’s continued popularity and strong market presence.
With its expanding network of showrooms, service centers, battery swap stations, and charging infrastructure, Nio is poised to further cement its position as a prominent player in the global electric vehicle market.
