Zeekr, the cutting-edge electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has just unveiled the first official images of the Zeekr 7X, a family-oriented SUV designed to capture a larger share of China’s competitive mainstream EV market. This debut marks the brand’s strategic move towards expanding its presence in the popular family vehicle segment.
The Zeekr 7X, internally known as CX1e and officially named on July 10th, represents the brand’s commitment to meeting the needs of Chinese families. With its distinctive Hidden Energy design language, the five-seat SUV promises a blend of style and practicality.
Built on Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA), the Zeekr 7X boasts impressive dimensions: 4,825 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width, y 1,656 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,925 milímetro. Though slightly smaller than rivals like Nio’s ES6 and Xpeng’s G9, Zeekr emphasizes that the 7X offers the most generous cabin space in its class.
Powering the Zeekr 7X is an advanced 800 V high-voltage platform, which ensures superior energy efficiency over traditional 400 V systems. The dual-motor variant, equipado con un 165 kW motor delantero y un 310 Motor trasero en kW, delivers a combined output of 475 kilovatio, enabling the vehicle to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in under four seconds.
Founded in 2021, Zeekr’s portfolio includes models like the Zeekr 001, Zeekr 007, Zeekr 009, y Zeekr X, each catering to specific niches within the EV market. The Zeekr 009, introduced as an MPV, and the Zeekr X, a compact SUV, both targeted specialized segments before the launch of the Zeekr 007 sedan, which marked the brand’s entry into the mainstream EV market.
The Zeekr 7X, as the brand’s second mainstream EV offering, aims to resonate with Chinese consumers’ preference for SUVs due to their spacious interiors. This strategic move positions Zeekr to compete effectively in the thriving Chinese EV landscape.
