Aito, the electric vehicle (EV) brand supported by Chinese technology behemoth Huawei, has commenced offering an attractive incentive on its popular new M7 model.

Customers purchasing the new M7 before April 30 can avail a RMB 20,000 ($2,770) cash rebate, as advertised on the Aito App today.

Consequently, the introductory price of the new M7 has been slashed by 8.01 percent to RMB 229,800 from its previous RMB 249,800.

Aito, in collaboration with Seres Group and Huawei, unveiled its premium automotive brand on December 2, 2021, and has since introduced models such as the Aito M5, Aito M7, and Aito M9.

Initially launched on July 4, 2022, the updated M7 was rolled out by Huawei on September 12, 2023, leading to a significant price adjustment.

Presently, Aito offers four five-seat variants and three six-seat variants of the new M7, with prices ranging from RMB 249,800 ($34,570) to RMB 329,800 before discounts.

The SUV experienced tepid performance until Aito revamped the M7, propelling its success starting from last September.

Aito consistently delivered over 10,000 units per month throughout the latter half of 2022, but faced challenges in 2023, with most months seeing figures below 6,000 units.

On November 27, Aito announced that the new M7 had accumulated over 100,000 firm orders within 2.5 months of its market debut.

Richard Yu, chairman of Huawei’s intelligent car solutions, revealed on Weibo on January 20 that the new Aito M7 had amassed more than 130,000 firm orders within four months since its launch.

According to data compiled by AutoinChina, Aito delivered 54,115 vehicles in January-February, marking a 578.13 percent year-on-year increase. Delivery figures for March are anticipated to be released earlier today.
