Denza N8 SUV Deliveries Commence in 12 Cities; Denza N7 Production Accelerates with Over 1,000 Units Delivered This Month
Denza, BYD’s premium new energy vehicle (NEV) brand, has initiated deliveries of its latest Denza N8 SUV model in 12 cities. Additionally, the brand has expedited the production of the Denza N7, with an impressive count of over 1,000 units already delivered this month.
The launch of Denza’s N8 took place on August 5, and the brand has already rolled out deliveries of the first N8 vehicles in a dozen cities. Denza has announced that deliveries to more cities are on the horizon.
The Denza N8 is presented in two variants, both featuring BYD’s DM-p hybrid system. These variants include a seven-seat version and a six-seat version, priced at RMB 319,800 ($43,860) and RMB 326,800, respectively.
The introduction of the Denza N8 closely follows the release of the Denza N7 SUV on July 3. The N7 comes in six distinct variants with varying starting prices ranging from RMB 301,800 to RMB 379,800.
Denza is the outcome of a joint venture between BYD and Daimler, established in February 2011. As of February 2022, the Daimler brand was rebranded as Mercedes-Benz, with BYD now holding a 90 percent stake in Denza and Mercedes-Benz retaining a 10 percent stake.
Denza’s lineup expansion has been significant, starting with the D9 MPV, introduced in August 2022, followed by the launch of the N7 in July. Notably, Denza sold 11,146 vehicles in July, a figure similar to the previous month, according to BYD’s released figures.
The production pace of the Denza N7 has gained momentum, with deliveries surpassing 1,000 units within the current month, as disclosed by Zhao Changjiang, the brand’s head.
