The Chery Fulwin T10 PHEV has made its debut through an unexpected revelation by a regulatory body in China. This unveiling comes as a surprise, as many assumed that the recently showcased Fulwin T9 was the plug-in hybrid version of the Chery Tiggo 9. However, the T10 emerges as another variant, albeit slightly larger than both its predecessor and the base model.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) divulged additional details about the Chery Fulwin T10, including images and crucial specifications. Notably, the T10 shares the same 2820 mm wheelbase as both the Chery Tiggo 9 and the Fulwin T9.

With a length of 4850 mm, the Fulwin T10 surpasses the Tiggo 9’s 4820 mm and the Fulwin T9’s 4795 mm. However, the width remains consistent across all three models at 1930 mm, while the T10 stands at 1712 mm in height, positioning it between the Tiggo 9 and the Fulwin T9. This suggests that the T10 is positioned as the flagship SUV within the Fulwin brand.

The Fulwin T10 is available in five and six-seater configurations, unlike the T9, which offers seating for five or seven passengers. Buyers can select from versions equipped with 18, 19, or 20-inch wheels. MIIT lists two separate versions, presumably indicating a base model and a higher trim level. The base variant weighs 1935 kg and is exclusively available as a five-seater, while the higher-spec model weighs 2028 kg for the five-seater and 2069 kg for the six-seater.

Powering the Fulwin T10 is Chery’s Kungpeng Super Performance Electric Hybrid C-DM system, comprising a SQRH4J15 engine with a displacement of 1499 cc and permanent magnet synchronous motors paired with a 1DHT gearbox. The 1.5T engine delivers 115 kW and 220 Nm, while the motor outputs 150 kW/310 Nm. MIIT lists the car as equipped with a ternary lithium (NCM) battery pack from CATL, albeit without further specifications.

In terms of design, the Fulwin T10 maintains the signature style of the Fulwin range, with a front face reminiscent of the Fulwin T9 but featuring more vertical embellishments on the grille. Additionally, there appears to be an option for a grille design resembling that of internal combustion engine vehicles.

The Fulwin T10 is anticipated to make its appearance at the Beijing Auto Show, with an expected listing date of May 15. Prices are estimated to range from 180,000 to 250,000 yuan (approximately $25,050 to $34,800 USD).
