BYD Yuan PLUS Honor Edition Set to Launch on March 4th: Introducing New Black Knight Color Scheme and Lowering Car Purchase Threshold
Recently, insights from reputable automotive sources indicate that the highly anticipated BYD Yuan PLUS Honor Edition is poised for launch on March 4th.
This edition introduces a notable reduction in the car purchase threshold along with upgraded configurations, building on the success of recent Honor Edition models. As a reference, the current Yuan PLUS lineup offers 10 models for sale, ranging from RMB 135,800 to 167,800.
In terms of its exterior, the BYD Yuan PLUS Honor Edition maintains the design language of the existing model. The iconic chrome plating featuring the “Yuan” insignia seamlessly integrated into the front face extends gracefully to the upper edge of the sharp headlights, projecting a capable and highly recognizable appearance. The lower air deflector exhibits a distinctive, fang-like profile, harmonizing with the lower trapezoidal grille and fenders to enhance the car’s stylish front end. To add a touch of freshness, a new “Black Knight” color scheme will be introduced.
Internally, the Yuan PLUS Honor Edition retains the current model’s design, employing light dual-color tones to create a harmonious style. The center console and door handles boast a generous application of soft materials, enhanced with curved textures for a premium feel. Equipped with a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a full LCD instrument panel, and an adaptive rotating floating central control screen, the interior showcases modern features. Additionally, the new model will see upgrades in voice control, supporting continuous dialogue and expanded functionality.
Powering the Yuan PLUS Honor Edition is an anticipated continuation of the front-mounted single motor, delivering a maximum power of 150 kilowatts (204 horsepower), a peak torque of 310 Nm, and an acceleration time of 7.3 seconds for 0 to 100 kilometers per hour. The expected battery options include the 49.92 kWh and 60.48 kWh lithium iron phosphate batteries, providing corresponding cruising ranges of 430 kilometers and 510 kilometers, respectively.
