BYD Yangwang U7 PHEV has been officially unveiled in the latest Chinese MIIT catalog on December 9. The vehicle, previously introduced at the Guangzhou Auto Show in November, is available for pre-sale with a deposit of 20,000 yuan (approximately $2,800). Offered in both four- and five-seat configurations, the U7 PHEV is powered by an advanced plug-in hybrid system.
Under the hood, it features a 2.0T engine (model BYD4H20) paired with four permanent magnet synchronous motors (models TZ220XYBC and TZ220XYBN). The engine delivers 200 kW (268 hp), while the combined output of the electric motors reaches a remarkable 1,000 kW (1,341 hp). This immense power allows the vehicle to achieve a top speed of 270 km/h.
The U7 PHEV is equipped with a 52.4 kWh BYD Blade battery, providing a pure electric range of 180 km. When fully charged and fueled, the WLTC comprehensive range extends to 1,000 km, making it a hybrid SUV designed for long-distance journeys.

Built on BYD’s e⁴ platform, also known as YiSiFang, the Yangwang U7 PHEV boasts impressive dimensions:
