Avatr‘s Latest Release: The Avatr 12 Electric Sedan with Huawei Inside Solution
Avatr Technology, supported by Changan Automobile, CATL, and Huawei, has unveiled an upgraded version of its flagship electric sedan, the Avatr 12, with a notable reduction in its starting price.
Launched on March 29, the 2024 Avatr 12 boasts a starting price of RMB 265,800 ($36,800), marking a substantial decrease of RMB 35,000 or 11.64 percent compared to its predecessor.
Available in four configurations, the Avatr 12 offers two single-motor rear-wheel drive versions and two dual-motor four-wheel drive versions, priced at RMB 265,800, RMB 300,800, RMB 340,800, and RMB 400,800 respectively.
Originally introduced on November 10, 2023, the Avatr 12 now introduces a new entry-level variant alongside maintaining the pricing of its existing models.
Notably, for the higher-tier models, Avatr is facilitating customers to offset a deposit of RMB 5000 yuan against the final payment of RMB 27,000 for purchases made before April 30.
This adjustment results in reduced starting prices of RMB 278,800, RMB 318,800, and RMB 378,800 for the respective premium models.
Sporting dimensions akin to the Nio ET7, the Avatr 12 measures 5,020 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, 1,460 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,020 mm.
Powered by Huawei’s Huawei Inside solution, the Avatr 12 integrates components from the tech giant, including its motors, to deliver robust performance.
The single-motor variants boast 230 kW of peak motor power and 370 Nm of peak torque, achieving a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds.
Meanwhile, the dual-motor versions feature an additional front motor with 195 kW of peak power and 280 Nm of peak torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.
Equipped with a 94.5 kWh capacity Li-ion ternary battery from CATL, the Avatr 12 offers a CLTC range of 700 kilometers for single-motor versions and 650 kilometers for dual-motor variants.
Standard features include three LiDARs and Huawei’s Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) system, ADS 2.0, enabling advanced smart driving capabilities without reliance on high-precision maps.
