Xiaomi Achieves Strong April: 7,058 SU7 Electric Vehicles Delivered, Locked-in Orders Surpass 88,063 الوحدات

Chinese tech giant شاومي marked a significant milestone in April, delivering 7,058 units of its SU7 electric vehicles (المركبات الكهربائية) after commencing deliveries on April 3.

As of April 30, 24:00 توقيت بكين, Xiaomi EV announced on Weibo that they had received a staggering 88,063 locked-in orders for the SU7.

Xiaomi EV revealed that among the locked-in order holders, 28 percent were female, 29 percent were customers with previous ownership of BMW, مرسيدس بنز, or Audi models, و 52.5 percent were Apple users.

Efforts to expand production capacity for the SU7 are in full swing, aimed at accelerating deliveries and ensuring the achievement of the target of delivering 100,000 units this year, according to Xiaomi.

The SU7, شاومي‘s inaugural EV model, was officially launched on March 28, offering three trims – standard, برو, and Max – with starting prices ranging from RMB 215,900 ($29,820) إلى الرنمينبي 299,900.

A Founders Edition of the SU7, limited to 5,000 الوحدات, was also offered by Xiaomi, with deliveries beginning on April 3. Initial figures indicated that the SU7 garnered over 100,000 firm orders and more than 40,000 locked-in orders on the launch day.

Customized vehicle deliveries for the SU7 commenced on April 18, with the 10,000th mass-produced SU7 rolling off the production line on April 29, just 32 days after the model’s launch.

Xiaomi EV expressed its ambitious vision, stating, “We believe that one day, there will be Xiaomi cars riding on every road around the world!”

The factory of Xiaomi EV, situated in Yizhuang, بكين, has a planned annual capacity of 300,000 الوحدات, with Phase I already completed in June 2023, boasting an annual capacity of 150,000 مركبات. Phase II, scheduled for construction in 2024 and completion in 2025, will further enhance the plant’s capacity.

Xiaomi aims to achieve monthly deliveries of over 10,000 units of the SU7 by June, as stated by Lei Jun, founder, رئيس, and CEO of the smartphone maker, on April 25, the opening day of the Beijing auto show.
