تخطط Nio لتوسيع تغطية NOP + إلى المناطق الحضرية, تهدف إلى 60,000 كم التوفر بحلول الربع الرابع
نيو, a prominent سيارة كهربائية (EV) الشركه المصنعه, is planning to extend the coverage of its Advanced Driver Assistance System (عدس) software, NOP+ (Navigate on Pilot Plus), to urban roads. This move positions Nio as the latest local EV maker to expand its technology into urban areas.
Announced at the Nio IN 2023 innovation day event, the company’s vice president of smart driving R&D, Ren Shaoqing, stated that NOP+’s coverage will extend from highways to urban roads. This expansion aims to provide users with a point-to-point smart driving experience with full-area access.
Unlike its competitors such as Xpeng and Li Auto, which plan to advance their features’ coverage by city, Nio has chosen to progress by road mileage. By the fourth quarter of this year, NOP+’s urban area pilot-assisted driving is expected to cover 60,000 الكيلومترات. This coverage is set to increase to 200,000 kilometers by the first quarter of 2024 and further expand to 400,000 kilometers by the second quarter of 2024.
To facilitate this expansion, Nio will allow users to suggest routes they wish to open for NOP+ coverage. These routes will be prioritized for the feature’s coverage. Starting in October, Nio plans to offer full-area pilot-assisted driving for these routes based on its operational plans and road conditions.
Nio’s next-generation static awareness network, NAD Lane 2.0, senses intersection information in real-time, eliminating the need to rely on high-definition maps. علاوة على ذلك, NAD (Nio Autonomous Driving) has reached 38,100 POPS of distributed computing power in its fleet of group intelligence systems. This advancement will help NOP+ evolve in real-time without relying on HD maps.
NOP+ is Nio’s advanced assisted driving feature based on its NT 2.0 platform that enables a point-to-point assisted driving experience. On December 27, 2022, Nio began recruiting the first beta testers for NOP+. في يوليو 1 this year, NOP+ came out of beta and started accepting subscriptions at RMB 380 ($52) per month.
في سبتمبر 13, Nio announced that users had accumulated more than 500 million kilometers of driving with NOP and NOP+. وفي الوقت نفسه, Nio’s main local counterparts are advancing the available range of their ADAS software by city. At the launch of the new G9 SUV on September 19, هي شياوبنغ, chairman and CEO of Xpeng, said the company’s XNGP (طيار موجه للملاحة) will cover 50 cities in China by the end of the year.
