Of these new hires, nearly 70% hold master’s or doctoral degrees, and about 80% are engaged in research and development, according to a post by BYD on Weibo.

BYD operates across multiple sectors, including automotive manufacturing, battery production, consumer electronics assembly, and rail transportation. Its automotive division includes the brands BYD, دينزا, فانغ تشنغ باو, ويانغوانغ.

According to data from South Korean market research firm SNE Research, BYD captured 15.7% of the global EV battery market between January and May 2024, trailing only behind CATL’s 37.5%.
